Welcome to Steph’s Stack. I’m delighted that you are taking the time to be here today!
Ever since my high school cross country days, “runner” has been at the root of my personality. I love the endorphins, being outside, and the sense of accomplishment. Lately, my knee kept aching in protest when I put my feet to the pavement. When, I saw Miley Cyrus’s Grammy performance, learned that she does pilates, and decided to try it myself. I tried a few different virtual pilates platforms (who can afford in person classes!?!) and enjoyed Blogilates the most. I can feel my core growing stronger alongside my confidence. There must be a correlation between a strong core and a strong sense of self. I am still releasing endorphins without putting as much strain on my body. What are ways that you have listened to your body and shown yourself love this month?
Always remember- you are whole and worthy of unconditional love.

She’s All That (1999)
Genre
Romantic Comedy
Streaming Service:

“Sometimes when you open up to people, you let the bad in with the good.”
What I liked
Experiencing Y2K nostalgia with my best friend.
Uptown Girls (2003)
Genre:
Comedy
Streaming Service
HBO Max
Quote:
“Act your age, not your shoe size.”
What I liked:
I appreciate the complexities behind the character Ray. She has a lot on her plate, especially for an eight year old. It makes sense that she is coping with her neglectful mother by acting old for her age. It makes sense that she has a sardonic remark for everything; her father is dying for crying out loud! Watching Brittany Murphy and Dakota Fanning together transports me right back to my childhood.
Binge Reads
What I read this month.
Nine Perfect Strangers by Liane Moriarty
Genre:
Contemporary Fiction
Quote:
“Heather had grown up starved of love, and when you’re starved of something you should receive in abundance, you never quite trust.”
What I enjoyed
This is the third Liane Moriarty book that I’ve read. I appreciate how she builds tension throughout her plot. There is a plethora of main characters who were all fully developed. We all know that I love multifaceted characters!
Gratitude
What are you grateful for this month?
I am able to go to Sprouts and buy food that I need for the week.
My colleague was concerned about hurting my feelings when they pointed out a mistake that I made. I work in a supportive environment.
I cuddled with Apollo (my cat) for one hour before getting out of bed.
The gorgeous sunset.
Apollo’s health (he recovered from a cold!)
